I was driving my grandson to his pediatrician for a bad cold.  He noticed the traffic cones on one section of the road.  He asked me what those orange inverted ice cream cones were for.  I had to give a candid reply or lose my credibility.  I told him that they were not ice cream but traffic cones that help motorist drive. Though the fans still support them, they haven’t become one of the better teams just yet.

Memphis Grizzlies: They make their best effort which is more than you can say about other teams on this list. That however is one of the only things that you can say about this team because their record just isn’t there. Though they continue to play a good game of basketball, it just never seems to be good enough unfortunately.

Texas Rangers: They have always been one of those teams that are lovable, but just somehow don’t manage to get the job done. For some reason they play a good game but don’t have the statistics to prove it. That means that they are a losing team, though they still have good stats and backing behind them.

Atlanta Thrashers: Perhaps it’s because it’s a hockey team in the south and that combination doesn’t seem to mix well. Perhaps it’s because they just can’t seem to get it done. Though they do have some positive points, they are just not a team that wins and that’s unfortunate for the fans that follow them.

Toronto Maple Leaves: Most people just assume that hockey and the country of Canada go well together and mean an instant winning record. Though there is always hope each and every season, they end up disappointing with their overall record. So for the fans nearby who worship hockey, this can be a rather disappointing trend that leaves them cold.

Los Angeles Clippers: It may have a lot to do with the fact that they are overshadowed by their city rivals, the LA Lakers, but chances are that it’s much more than that. If you want to follow a team that wins, then this is not it. Though there are still plenty of fans that follow this team, they just can’t equal the power that the LA Lakers do and that’s a constant issue.

Tampa Bay Rays: Though the boys of summer always bring out hope each and every season, they tend to disappoint as the season goes on. It’s sad but true, but this team is just not able to pull it out. They still have a great fan base and play in a great town, but the reality is that they are not getting the job done and therefore have a losing record to prove it.

Arizona Cardinals: This is another team that wasn’t ever really too affected by their losing record. They’ve had superstars along the way which certainly helps, but the fans are always there for them. No matter what though, they do have a terrible playing record and that’s why they’ve earned a spot on this list.

Chicago Cubs: This is one team that is unaffected by their losing record. They may go up and down, but their fans remain loyal and unaffected. Sure they want a win, but the environment is one for celebration no matter what the record may show. So while they definitely don’t have a good solid record, they continue to enjoy a fantastic fan base and environment in the ball park.

Though they may have a fan base and still make a valiant effort, these teams just don’t win. Therefore they make the list, though the fans hope each and every season for a different outcome.
