The peace and democracy we are experiencing and enjoying right now is the result of our brave war veterans who fought in the Vietnam War.  If not for them and their sacrifices, we would not be enjoying life as we are now.   It was not easy for them to leave their families and risk their lives during the war, but due to their dedication and commitment to protecting their country and their fellow citizens, they did. And now that the Vietnam War has long been over, it is about time that we return the favor.
