Budget printers from Epson has always been good but have been flawed by expensive printer ink cartridges. The Epson S21 ink cartridges and the printer itself follows in this tradition, the printer functions well and the ink cartridges cost nearly as much as the printer does. What you have to keep in mind is that its not that expensive to run compared to other inkjet printers in this range in fact some printer cartridges for other brands cost more they the printer. It is also worth considering that there are compatible ink cartridges available for the S21 and they cost considerably less than the genuine OEM inks. The Epson Stylus S21 doesn’t have a long list of features as its just a basic inkjet printer but it does what it says on the tin, it prints everyday stuff as well as being able to print high quality photos as well. It can print on a wide variety of paper media in various sizes, it can also do the same for envelopes and transparencies. The printer is very easy to setup (although doesn’t come with a USB cable this must be bought separately) and anyone could have it up and running in ten minutes or less. The built quality is also surprisingly good for a budget printer, the materials feel solid and it feel like it well screwed together.
